The Indianapolis Zen Center is a valuable institution that is unique in this area of the world. Our mission is to offer Zen practice in the lineage of Zen Master Seung Sahn to the people of central Indiana. In pursuit of this mission, our programming includes introduction to Zen classes, a weekly schedule of practice, dharma talks and weekend retreats with authentic teachers. We have a two-year dharma teacher training program for individuals who wish to deepen their practice by serving the sangha. Our dharma teachers officiate at ceremonies for weddings, funerals, and Buddhist holidays, and are on call for chaplaincy at a major local hospital.
The Indianapolis Zen Center is a 501-C3 Religious Non-Profit Corporation and is funded by member dues, donations, and program fees. We have no paid personnel. Please consider making a donation so that the Indianapolis Zen Center can continue to be a compassionate presence in the central Indiana community.
